join Tarrant County  Election workers team!

Transparent and fair elections are key to the well-being of our country. We need to ensure that Americans have the ability to cast their votes,, and to ensure that no fraud takes place in polling locations and at our local election offices. Tarrant county has had several issues with the counts changing in the late night, so we are pushing for a county wide effort to provide election workers and poll watchers during the elections.

POLL WATCHERS

a Poll watchers is appointed to observe election activities.

Tarrant county has had several questionable issues during past elections, so these efforts are focused on random appearances at polling places, monitoring the closing of the polls, following the ballot boxes and scanners into rally stations and election office, as well as monitoring the activities in the election office during the day on election day and after the polls close.

Join the team of poll watchers by following these easy steps.

1) Take the online training: The Texas Secretary of State office provides an online training  to serve as a poll watcher. See our course Summary to learn what to expect on the certification exam. Be sure to print the certificate after completion, as you will need to present it to serve as a poll watcher.

2) register  for The focused in person training: additional training to provide guidance on what to expect, answer any question you might have and finalize your poll watcher appointment.

3) Attend the in person training:  It is required for you to bring your poll watcher certificate, as otherwise you will not be able to be appointed.

ELECTION WORKERS

Election Workers work at the polls on Election Day and during early voting to ensure voters are able to exercise their rights in an honest and well-organized manner.  Normally early voting and election day have different teams at the polls, so you are not expected to work both.

You can choose to serve as an election judge, which is the highest authority at the polling place, or as an election clerk, under the guidance of the election judge. Tarrant county's republican election judges have priority in assignment, but if a polling place is not staffed with a republican judge a democrat or a temporary worker will be appointed to that location.

sign up to work the polls as election judge or clerk by filling the following form, this will automatically be sent to Tarrant GOP elections manager, who is in charge of these appointments.
